Here are a few pecan pie recipes. The first two are traditional recipes.
Beat eggs and add other ingredients. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Turn oven to 315 degrees and bake until firm.
The Original #2
To 1/2 cup sugar, add 1 tsp. flour and mix well.
1 cup white karo syrup, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine.
Mix and boil about 5 minutes or less.
Then add:
- 2 eggs, well beaten, slowly
- 1 cup pecans, either whole or ground
Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake about 30 to 40 minutes in oven heated to about 275 degrees.
