Mix jello with 2 cups boiling water, add orange juice, pineapple, oranges and nuts; congeal. Prepare pudding mix as
directed and spread on congealed mixture. Spread cool whip on top.
The second recipe is for our Orange Apricot Jello Salad.
Here are the ingredients.
- 1 (17 oz) can apricots, drained and chopped (save juice)
- 1 large or 2 small packages orange jello
- 1 cup apricot juice
- 1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 cup small marshmallows
Here is what you do.
Chill the fruit. Dissolve jello in hot water; add apricot juice. Let partially jell. Then, fold in apricots, pineapple and marshmallows. Chill until firm.
For the Topping:
Here are the ingredients.
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 envelope Dream Whip
Here is what you do.
Cook over low heat, stirring until thickened. Let cool. Mix Dream Whip according to package directions and then fold into mixture. Spread over salad.
And the last recipe is for our Pink Salad
Here are the ingredients.
- 1 package strawberry jello
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/2 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, undrained
- 1 cup small curd cottage cheese
- 2 cups miniature marshmallows
Here is what you do.
Combine gelatin and pineapple in a suacepan and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. When slightly cool, add marshmallows and stir to partially dissolve. After more cooling, fold in whipped cream, cottage cheese and nuts. Place in a mold. Refrigerate for 2 or 3 hours or until firm.
