There is nothing like homemade cookies. The way they smell when they are fresh out of the oven.
There are basically six different kinds of cookies. They are:
Drop Cookies: These are the easiest kind of cookie to make. The dough is soft and dropped from a spoon onto a
baking sheet.
Refrigerator Cookies or Sliced Cookies: They are made of a stiff dough that is rolled out in the shape of a log and
then put in the refrigerator to chill. After they have chilled, they are sliced and baked.
Molded, Shaped & Pressed Cookies: These are made out of stiff dough. These cookies can be rolled into balls,
they can be pressed flat with a fork or bottom of a glass. They can also be shaped by using a cookie gun or cookie press.

Cut Out Cookies: These are made from a stiff dough that is rolled out either thick or thin and cut into a shape with a cookie cutter or knife.
Bar Cookies: They are made from soft dough that you spread in a pan such a brownies.
No Bake Cookies: This is really not technically a type of cookie. They are usally quite rich and do not require to be baked in the oven.
