Fruit Desserts

Try these fruit desserts below. They are simple to make and taste great!

Hawaiian Delight

Ingredients:

  • 1 small package orange jello
  • 1 can frozen orange juice
  • 1 can mandarin oranges, for garnish
  • 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1 box vanilla wafers
  • 1 box instant lemon pudding
  • 1 box dream whip, prepared according to package directions
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 box coconut
  • 1 cup cold milk
What to do:

Crush vanilla wafers and line 9x13 inch baking dish with a layer about 1/4 inch deep. Dissolve jello in hot water. Add undiluted frozen orange juice. Mix dream whip and set aside. Combine other ingredients and stir into jello mix. Chill until partially set. Spoon into pan. Chill until firm Beat pudding mix and milk. Fold in dream whip. Spread over gelatin. Chill and serve. Garnish with mandarin oranges.












Strawberry and Coconut Dream

Ingredients:

  • 2 envelopes gelatin
  • 6 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups cream
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/3 cup boiling water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Strawberries for garnish
What to do:

Soften gelatin in cold water. Add boiling water and cool. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add vanilla, salt and gradually add sugar. Beat cream until stiff. Fold cream into egg whites. Rub bottom and sides of a 8 inch spring form cake pan with oil. Sprinkle with half of the coconut and pour in the mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining coconut and chill for 4 hours.

Put strawberries around dish when dessert is unmolded. Serve with the following strawberry sauce.

Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups crushed strawberries
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
What to do:

Bring to a boil, 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water. Simmer syrup gently for 5 minutes. Add two cups crushed strawberries. Chill and stir in half a cup of heavy whipped cream.












Here is another one of our delicious fruit desserts.

Blueberry Buckle

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick butter
  • 10 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 envelopes dream whip, prepared according to directions on box
  • 1 1/3 cup graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup crushed pecans
  • 1 can blueberry filling
What to do:

Melt 1 stick butter in a 9x13 inch pan. Pour graham crackers into butter and coat well. Beat cream cheese, milk and sugar. Pour over crackers and then sprinkle pecans over all of it. Pour the mixed dream whip over the pecans. Pour 1 can of blueberry pie filling over the dream whip. Chill and serve.












This one is quick and easy.

Apple Whip

  • 3 large apples
  • 3 cups cool whip
  • 3 bananas
  • 1/2 - 1 cup nuts (optional)
Cut apples in small pieces. Slice bananas. Mix together. Stir in cool whip. Add nuts if desired.
