I have made chocolate mousse for many, many years. My favorite chocolate mousse recipe is the one I am about to share with you. It only has three ingredients, is great for last minute guests, and is one of my comfort foods.
CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
All you will need is:
- 1 pkg. (3.9 oz.) Chocolate Instant Pudding (I use JELLO brand)
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1-1/2 cups thawed Cool Whip Topping
Here is all you do:
Pour the instant pudding mix and cold milk in medium bowl and beat with either a whisk or electric mixer for two minutes. Your pudding should be thick. Then, fold the cool whip into the pudding mixture until it is thoroughly blended.
Divide the pudding between six individual dessert dishes and put in the refrigerator to chill for one hour.
Do you want less calories? Here you go! I make this one quite a lot.
- 1 pkg. (3.9 oz.) Sugar Free Chocolate Instant Pudding (I use JELLO brand)
- 2 cups cold 2 percent milk
- 1-1/2 cups thawed Fat Free Cool Whip or Cool Whip Lite
I also sometimes substitute vanilla instant pudding for the chocolate.
Below is another quick and easy chocolate mousse recipe.
DOUBLE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
Here is What You Need:
- 2 squares Semi-Sweet Chocolate (Bakers)
- 1-1/2 cups thawed Cool Whip Regular or Lite Whipped Topping
Here is How You Make It:
Put the chocolate in a microwavable bowl and turn it on high for 30 seconds. Stir and place back in the microwave on high for another 30 seconds. Now stir the chocolate until it is completely melted and smooth.
Next, put 3/4 cup of the Cool Whip into the chocolate and stir until it is well blended. Then add the remainder of the Cool Whip and repeat.
Finally, put the mousse into the refrigerator for 30 minutes to chill. This easy chocolate mousse is great served with cookies. It is great for last minute guests.
It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
