I have not had a chance to make this Oreo Chocolate Mousse recipe yet. If you do, let me know how it was and a picture of your mousse. I would love to post it on my site.
Ingredients
- 1 package of oreo cookies (the smaller bag)
- 2 sticks margarine (melted)
- 2 packages of cream cheese
- 2 cups sugar
- 16 oz. container of Cool Whip
- 1 box of Instant Chocolate Pudding
(use small box if you want it lightly chocolate and the
large one for more chocolate)
Directions
Crush the oreo cookies in a food processor into crumbs. Reserve 1/4 cup of the oreo crumbs for topping. Combine the remaining oreos with the melted margarine and press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan.
Combine the cream cheese, sugar and 3/4 of the cool whip and spread over the oreo mixture.
Mix the pudding according to the directions on the box and put it in the refrigerator to get firm. Then, pour over the cream cheese mixture.
Next, using a cake decorator or something similar, pipe the remaining cool whip around the edges of the chocolate pudding mixture. Lastly, sprinkle the remaining oreo crumbs over the entire mousse. Keep refrigerated.
