Cherry Pudding
With Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients for Cherry Pudding Here are the ingredients:
  • 1 can cherries in juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Cherries Draining

Drain a can of cherries (save juice) and place them in the bottom of a greased 9 x9 pan.

Sugar Over Cherries

Mix together 1 cup sugar and 1 tbsp cornstarch and then sprinkle over the cherries.

Batter for Cherry Pudding

Mix thoroughly, 3/4 cup sugar, butter, milk, flour, baking powder, egg and salt to make batter.

Batter Over Cherries

Pour batter over cherries, spreading it out to cover all of them.

Cherry Juice Over Batter

Then pour juice from cherries over all.

Cherry Pudding Out of Oven

Bake 40 minutes at 375 degrees. Here it is right out of the oven.

Cherry Pudding

Finished pudding before I added the ice cream.

Even though this is called a pudding, I think it is closer to a cobbler.
