Here is a great Angel Food Cake Dessert for you to try. We think it is a delicious!
Ingredients:
- 1 angel food cake (box mix or buy a ready made cake from the store)
- 2 packages strawberry or cherry jello (we used strawberry in ours)
- 1 20-oz can of crushed pineapple
- 1 quart of vanilla ice cream that has softened
- 2 cups hot water
Tear the angel food cake into chunks and place in a 9x12 inch pan. You can buy one from the store or use a box mix like we did.
Pour the hot water over the jello and stir until it is dissolved.
Fold ice cream in jello while jello is still hot.
Mix the ice cream and jello together until completely mixed.
Fold in pineapple (juice and all) into the ice cream mixture.
Pour mixture evenly over cake.
Put in the refrigerator until it is firm.
This dessert can be made the night before and then just scoop into dishes when you are ready to serve it.
